Srinagar, Jan 10 (KNO): The residents of Nizam Colony in Saida Kadal area of Srinagar expressed their anguish against the Jal Shakti department for failing to ensure adequate water supply to them.
Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the aggrieved residents, chanting slogans, gathered in the area to highlight the ongoing water scarcity issue, which according to them has severely affected their daily lives for an extended period.
“We have been facing an acute water shortage for the past six months now, and despite numerous complaints and pleas to the authorities, there has been no concrete action to resolve this pressing matter,” one of the locals said.
“The authorities need to understand the severity of our situation and take immediate steps to ensure adequate water supply,” said Basit, a local student from the area.
